The missed call
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Your number stays on your truck and in your customers’ phones. Calls you can’t take are forwarded to a booking line we set up for your business, with a local number.
What happens when I miss a call?
The caller hears a short greeting saying your booking assistant is texting them, and within a minute they get a text from your booking line, in your business’s name, with a way to book. Texting is rolling out now, business by business.
Is a robot going to answer my phone?
No. Your phone rings like it always has. Nobody talks to a bot. When you can’t pick up, the caller gets a text they can answer in their own time.
What can the assistant actually do?
Answer questions from your own price list and calendar, offer open times, and hold one while the customer finishes booking. Anything it can’t handle, like a complaint or an unusual job, goes to you, and it says so.
Can I take over a conversation?
Yes. Reply yourself and the assistant steps back from that conversation. You can also switch the assistant off for the whole business and answer every text yourself.
Why doesn’t the text come from my own number?
Texting from software needs a number registered for business texting, and a personal cell can’t be set up that way without moving it off your carrier. So each business gets its own booking line, registered in its own name, and callers get a text from that number about the call they just made.
Booking
Do I need a separate booking app?
No. The booking app is part of the platform. You set it up yourself with your services, prices, hours and questions, and every booking lands in your calendar and customer list. There’s no second subscription and nothing to copy between apps.
What happens to the customers I’ve already got?
They come with you. Add them as you go or put the whole list in at once. Every booking after that records itself.
I already have a website or a Facebook page.
Point it at your booking page and you’re done. One change, and we walk you through it on the call.
Can customers book a regular schedule?
Yes. Offer weekly, every-other-week or monthly on the services where it makes sense.
Can I only take jobs in my area?
Yes. Set the ZIP codes you cover. People outside them can still leave a request instead of hitting a dead end.
Can I quote some jobs instead of listing a price?
Yes. Mark a service as priced on site, and the customer sends a request with the details you ask for.
I can get a free booking app from my payment processor. Why pay for yours?
A free one takes a booking and a card, and most do that well. Ours runs the rest of the job: a customer list that builds itself, estimates you can send from the driveway, invoices off the job that’s already in there, reminders, questions asked before you show up, and the missed call turned into a booking. And if you need help, you talk to the people who built it.
Getting paid and getting reviewed
Can I send invoices?
Yes. Raise the invoice off the job that’s already in your customer list, so the address, service and price are already filled in.
Can customers pay by card?
That depends on your card processor. We connect the platform to one you already have an account with, if it can be connected, and we’ll tell you plainly if yours can’t. The account and the money stay yours.
How do review requests work?
After a job, the customer gets one request with your review link in it. Every customer gets the same ask. We don’t filter out the unhappy ones. It’s off until you switch it on.
Setup and price
What does it cost?
$49 to activate, then $79 a month. No contract and no upgrade tiers.
How long does it take to set up?
Most people have it right in an evening with the walkthrough video, and we get on a call afterward to help you finish. If you’d rather not do it on your own, we’ll set it up with you live, as much or as little as you need.
Do I need an LLC for this?
No. If you want to register, we do that too, but it’s a separate job and not needed to take bookings.
What if it turns out not to be for me?
Cancel whenever. From your second month we refund the unused part, with no processing fee taken out. The $49 activation is the one thing that isn’t refunded.
